TownSq and its parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries, (collectively, “Company”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy discloses our practices regarding information we collect and receive from users of the TownSq desktop and mobile websites (the “Sites”), the TownSq mobile applications (the “Apps”) and other services, such as emails, provided by Company (collectively, the “Service”). Unless we state otherwise, any new features or functionality provided by Company on the Sites and/or Apps are also part of the Service. By accessing or using the Service, whether through a personal computer, mobile device or any other means, or submitting any content or information for publication or distribution, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before registering or using the Service or submitting any content. If you do not accept this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Service or submit any content. This Privacy Policy is subject to change by Company at any time. The most current version of this Privacy Policy can always be viewed on the Service, and we will always let you know when the latest update occurred by posting the “Effective Date” at the top of the Privacy Policy posted on the Service. By continuing to use the Service or submit any content after the latest Effective Date, you accept the new Privacy Policy.

What information does Company collect and how?

Information you provide: This is information you input into the Service or give us permission to access from other sites. Examples of providing information include:

  • When you register for the Service, providing your name, email address, and similar information;
  • Sharing information about yourself in your profile, like your interests and skills;
  • Messages you send to other users of the Service;
  • Geolocation information, if you share your location, tag your posts or pictures, or check-in at a location;
  • When you submit a request or comment, providing us with your contact information;
  • Information about you provided by your community or neighborhood’s management company, such as name, address, account information and car information;
  • When you invite other people to use or register for the Sites or App, the information you provide about those individuals;
  • Information about packages received to notify you of the delivery. Information collected from your browser, computer or mobile device: This is technical information that is automatically collected when you use the Service or read a message from us, including:
  • The website you came from and the websites you visit after visiting the Sites;
  • The type of browser you use;
  • The device, and information about that device, from which you connected to the Service;
  • Time and date of access; · Your IP address and protocol;
  • Which links you clicked on while using the Service;
  • Other information that does not personally identify you;
  • A Boolean indicating whether your device was jail broken;
  • Crash analytics data;
  • Cookie data. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer or mobile device which include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information on cookies and similar technologies, see below.

How do we use the information we collect?

Company may use your information, including personal information to:

  • Provide the Service to you, including providing technical and other support for the Service and working with third parties to provide the Service;
  • Set up your account and populate your profile;
  • Identify and invite potential new members;
  • Communicate with you regarding the Service and respond to your inquiries and requests, such as subscriptions to email newsletters;
  • Administer contests and sweepstakes, and notify you if you have won;
  • Enforce this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, address fraud and other illegal activities, including claims of copyright infringement and protect your safety and the safety of other users of the Service;
  • For the purpose(s) for which you provide the information;
  • Deliver advertising and content that is customized to your individual behavior or demographic, based on your use of the Service and other online or mobile websites, apps and services;
  • Verify that you live at the address you gave us through a combination of your address and a second factor, such as a code we provide you, digits from your credit card, or manual verification by the member who invited you;
  • Analyze your use of the Service and the performance of and your interactions with advertising and content provided on the Service;
  • As you may otherwise agree or consent

How do we disclose your information to third parties?
We will never sell or rent your information that personally identifies you to third parties, and we won’t share it with a third party unless we have your authorization.
Company may disclose your information in the following instances:

  • To vendors who are performing services for Company, such as servers for our email communications who are provided access to user’s email address for purposes of sending email from us. Those vendors use your personal information only at our direction in accordance with this privacy policy and are contractually barred from using such information for their own purposes.
  • To communicate with users in response to questions, solicit feedback from users, provide technical support and inform users about promotional offers.
  • The content you post on the Service, such as posts, replies, messages, and profile information, is available to other members based on the preferences you set for such content.
  • If you make a purchase using the Service, we may share your information with the payment processor as necessary to conclude the transaction, as well as with the company or person you’re buying from. Such information will be subject to the privacy policy of the payment processor and/or vendor.
  • Non-personally identifiable information may be shared with companies we do business with, such as our advertisers.
  • Portions of content you share on the Service may be shared with the public without your name or other identifying information.
  • We may share your information within our parent company, and its subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that an acquirer of our assets may continue to process your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Similar Technologies. “Cookies” are pieces of information that may be placed on your computer’s browser or your device by a website or service to store your preferences, for the purpose of facilitating and enhancing your communication and interaction with that website or service or with other websites or services. Many websites, including the Sites, may also use Flash cookies, or locally shared objects (“LSOs”), that operate similarly to browser cookies. Company, or our partners, may also use “web beacons,” clear GIFs or similar technologies, pieces of information placed on a service or email to track and collect information about user behavior, for example by counting the number of visitors to a web page, delivering a cookie to a user’s browser or tracking open rates, clicks and forwards. Company, or our partners, may use cookies and similar technologies to customize your visit to or use of the Sites, or to help us to enhance or improve the Service, for example by storing your password or delivering relevant advertising to you when you use the Service. Company may work with our partners to synchronize unique, non-personally identifiable identifiers in order to match our identifiers with those used by our partners. By accessing or using the Service, you consent to Company and our partners using the cookies and other technologies described in this Privacy Policy, and similar technologies that may be developed in the future, to track your activities and use of the Service, including in emails we may send to you. You may be able to set your browser to disable cookies or LSOs, or to refuse certain types of cookies or warn you before accepting cookies. And, LSOs using Adobe Flash can be managed using Flash management tools on the Adobe website. However, doing so may mean that certain parts of the Service may not work for you. Some partners may use technologies other than cookies to recognize your computer or device or to collect information about your use of the Service or other websites or services, and you may not be able to block use of such technologies. Some browsers may transmit “do not track” signals to websites and online services. Company does not currently take any action or respond to such signals. We or our partners may use mobile Software Development Kits (“SDKs”) to collect information, such as your IDFA or Android Advertising ID, and other information about how your device interacts with the Service. SDKs allow app developers to enable advertising, collection of data and related services and analytics in apps. We may use this technology to deliver, or to help partners deliver, advertising through the Apps and other mobile applications and browsers based on information associated with your device. Depending on your device, you may be able to reset your device’s advertising identifier by accessing the privacy settings. Advertising. Company and our Partners use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to provide you with advertising that is relevant to you. Some of our partners that may use cookies and similar technologies on the Service are listed below. We may update this list from time to time, so please review this Privacy Policy periodically.
  • Google Analytics (including Remarketing with Google Analytics; Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting and integrated services that use Google Analytics to collect data using cookies and identifiers) Some of these third parties participate in programs intended to provide users with choices about whether and how to receive targeted advertising. You can learn more about these programs at the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance websites. Information about Google Analytics’ currently available opt-outs is available here. These websites are provided by third parties, not Company. Company does not control or operate these websites or the choices that our partners, advertisers and others may provide through the tools offered on these websites. We may customize the sponsored posts or other ad offerings you see on the Service based on information from our advertisers, on the demographics of your neighborhood, or on your actions on the Service. We may also offer ads that are personalized based on your actions off the Service; if we do this, we will provide you with notice and choices about it. Legal and Safety Reasons. For legal and safety reasons, we may need to disclose your personal information. This will be done in the event that we reasonably believe : (a) we are legally required to do so in response to a legal request (e.g., a subpoena, search warrant, court order, or other request from law enforcement) or (b) that it is necessary or appropriate to do so to protect our rights, property, or safety; to enforce our Terms of Use or any other agreements we have with you; or to prevent physical injury or other harm to any person or entity, including yourself and members of the general public. To meet these obligations, we reserve the right to retain, preserve or share your personal information.

Protection for Children

The Service is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under age 13, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible.

Updating and Correcting Your Information

If you are a registered user of the Service, you can unsubscribe or opt-out of any service or update your information by editing your user profile. You may not be able to remove information about yourself that has been provided by your neighborhood management company. We are not responsible for removing your personal information from the lists of any third party, such as a partner, who has previously been provided your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. California Residents. California’s “Shine the Light” law, Civil Code section 1798.83, requires certain businesses to respond to requests from California residents asking about practices related to disclosing personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Alternately, businesses may have in place a policy not to disclose personal information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes if the customer has opted-out of such information-sharing. Company has such a policy.
